Bogdan Bogdanovic

In 2012., in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum in Zagreb, ArchitekturZentrum Wien and Memorial Site JUSP-Jasenovac, and in co-curatorial interpretation by Ivan Ristić and Sonja Leboš and with generous and kind support by Ksenija Bogdanovic who enabled Bogdan's personal library to be included, the exhibition "Bogdan Bogdanovic-the Doomed Architect", the first post mortem exhibition in Croatia about the work of the great architect of Yugoslav protomodernism, who granted this republic-to-be with the legacy of an array of monuments and memorial sites, took place in the Glypthoteque of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Science in Zagreb.

In the curatorial interpretation of Sonja Leboš, the exhibition comprised the film Lipanjska gibanja by Želimir Žilnik, the video installation with the performance by Patricija Dona, and the installation by Ivan Marušić Klif, as a multimedial interpretation of Bogdan's drawings. During the exhibition in Zagreb there was a round table, with the participation by Friedrich Achleitner, Sanja Horvatincic, Andrija Mutnjakovic, Ivan Ristic, Dietmar Steiner, Ales Vodopivec, moderated by Sonja Leboš. We were honoured by the kind presence of Ksenija Bogdanovic. The lecture by Andrija Mutnjaković you can read here.

At the occasion of the exhibition in Zagreb (the following year reprinted for the setting in Split) the catalog of the same title was published, with discursive text by and a conversation between Bogdan Bogdanovic and Vera Grimmer.

Her personal curatorial contribution Leboš sees in underpinning the neglected historigraphy about less visible segment of Bogdan's work - the New School at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade. In 2015 a small congress and the exhibition took place in the Center for Cultural Decontamination and at the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade (the same Faculty where Bogdan used to teach, and where today it is possible to revoke the position to Ljiljana Blagojević). Recently, Vladimir Kulic published a text on the subject in the book "radical pedagogies," edited by Beatriz Colomina.
