The program starts at 6 pm on Friday, March 6th, at the Azimut club. As part of the presentation ‘’Around Crnica’’, Kristina Perkov will introduce the process of spatial planning in practice, Marin Nižić and Mara Prpić from Urbani separe (Rijeka) will restore our faith in the activation and strength of the community, and Tea Truta from the organization Društvo i prostor (Zagreb) will show us how participation in urban planning/spatial planning in cooperation with the community can yield real results.
The walk ‘’Around Crnica’’, from 10 am on Saturday, March 7th, will be led by Dr. Milenko Milović, who will introduce us to the observed area through the creation of a photo herbarium of specific plant species on the site of the former TEF factory. Before and after the walk, we will drink coffee together in front of the Orange Building.
The workshop ‘‘Apropo Crnica’’ will be held in two parts. On Saturday afternoon, we will document the collected (personal) memorabilia of the workshop participants, our neighbors, and citizens, for the ‘‘Archive of Crnica in the making’’. It is possible to bring photographs, documents, ID cards, objects such as badges, monographs, postcards, books, maps, T-shirts, tools related to the TEF factory and the Crnica settlement, or share your story with us. Based on what was collected, as well as the excerpts from the previous walk, we will talk about the experience of the Crnica area and try to convey these thoughts in some of the media: photography, drawing, prose, poetry, or some other way that you like.
Throughout Sunday, starting at 11 am, we will start creating a fanzine - a casual booklet format - which we will put together from the collected materials and participants’ reviews related to the experience of the area. The workshop will end with an informal exhibition.
